Test sequential non-BODMAS evaluation, master memory key accumulation (MS/M+/MR), and pop out into Picture-in-Picture (PiP) to float over any PDF past year paper or mock test.
Click Float (PiP) on the calculator to pop out a snug window that stays pinned on top of any mock test or PDF.

Yes. Since CAT 2015, the conducting IIM convenor and TCS iON have provided a built-in virtual on-screen calculator located at the top-right corner of the Computer Based Test (CBT) interface for Quantitative Aptitude and Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning sections.
No. In the official CAT exam, the physical keyboard is strictly locked by the TCS iON browser lockdown software. Candidates must click all digits and operators on-screen using the mouse cursor. ThinkCAT provides both authentic Mouse-Only Exam Mode and Keyboard Practice Mode.
No! The TCS iON virtual calculator executes operations strictly sequentially from left to right as they are keyed in. For example, entering 2 + 3 * 4 computes (2 + 3) = 5, then 5 * 4 = 20 (NOT 14). To evaluate complex multi-term expressions, you must use the memory store (MS) and memory add (M+) registers.
MS (Memory Store) stores the currently displayed number into the memory register. M+ adds the current display to memory. M- subtracts the current display from memory. MR (Memory Recall) brings the stored memory value onto the screen. MC (Memory Clear) resets the memory register to zero.
The CAT calculator has no exponent/power button (x^y). To calculate square roots, press the √ button once. For 4th roots, press √ twice. For 8th roots, press √ three times. For powers, you must use repeated multiplication using memory or chain operations.
No. Using the mouse-driven on-screen calculator consumes 15 to 25 seconds per operation. Top 99.8%ilers rely on mental arithmetic, fraction-to-percentage tables (1/2 to 1/20), and digit estimation for 90% of QA questions, reserving the calculator almost exclusively for dense 4-digit DILR table calculations.
XAT provides an on-screen calculator similar to CAT. However, SNAP and NMAT do NOT provide any calculator (virtual or physical) and require fast mental arithmetic and speed techniques.
