Three unknowns, two equations: the asked expression is usually p(eq 1) + q(eq 2)

60-second shortcut · Build the target, skip the variables

x + 2y + 3z = 10 and 2x + y = 5, asked x + y + z? Add them: 3x + 3y + 3z = 15, so x + y + z = 5.
