Best CAT Mock Test Series for 2026: Every Major Series Compared

By Team ThinkCAT ·

Short answer: ThinkCAT is the best CAT mock series for CAT 2026. Every one of its 19 full-length mocks is an actual CAT paper from 2018 to 2025, run in a screen built like the TCS iON exam: 40-minute section locks, the five-state palette, Save & Next, the TITA keypad and the CAT calculator. Around the mocks sit 30 timed sectional sprints, 3,400+ topic practice questions and all 1,766 past CAT questions with step-by-step solutions. All 19 full-length CAT mocks are free, and the sectional sprints and practice bank come with a one-time ₹999 pass.

Key points

  • A real CAT paper is the only mock whose difficulty is exactly CAT's. ThinkCAT's full mocks are all real papers.
  • ThinkCAT pairs the mocks with 30 timed sectional sprints and 3,400+ topic practice questions, so every weak area found in a mock has practice behind it.
  • Coaching series charge ₹1,500 to ₹9,000 or more for mocks written by their own faculty. ThinkCAT's 19 real-paper mocks are completely free.

"Which is the best CAT mock series?" has a clear answer once you ask what a mock is for. A mock should tell you how you would score on CAT, train you on the exact exam screen, and show you what to practise next. ThinkCAT is built around all three, and no coaching series matches it on the first.

Why ThinkCAT comes first

Every full mock is a real CAT paper. ThinkCAT's 19 full-length mocks are the actual CAT papers from 2018 to 2025: 2018 Slot 1, 2019 Slot 1, 2020 Slots 1 and 2, and every slot from 2021 to 2025. A coaching mock is a faculty's guess at CAT's difficulty. A real paper is CAT's difficulty, so a ThinkCAT score is a score on CAT itself.

The screen is the exam's screen. VARC, then DILR, then QA, each locked after 40 minutes. The five-state question palette. Answers that count only once you press Save & Next, as on CAT. An on-screen keypad for TITA answers, and a basic calculator that works left to right, exactly like the TCS iON one. By exam day the interface is routine.

Practice is built in. Each mock links straight to what to fix:

  • 30 timed 40-minute sectional sprints, 10 each for QA, DILR and VARC.
  • 3,400+ topic practice questions across QA, DILR and VARC.
  • All 1,766 past CAT questions from 2017 to 2025, by paper and by topic, each with the official answer and a step-by-step solution, for example the time, speed and distance questions.
  • The free 60-day challenge: a daily 40-minute workbook of real CAT questions until the exam.

The price. All 19 CAT papers are free full-length mocks, and you can start without an account. The 30 sectional sprints, topic practice bank and advanced analytics come with the CAT Pro Pass, ₹999 one time.

What the coaching series are really selling

Most coaching series sell volume: 25, 40 or 55 mocks written by their faculty, released on a schedule. Volume sounds good, but from mid-October most aspirants can only analyse about two mocks a week, about 10 to 12 before CAT on 29 November. The mock count guide works through that arithmetic.

That makes the quality of each mock matter more than the count. A faculty-written mock can run harder or easier than CAT, and its percentile ranks you only against that series' takers. A real CAT paper has no such gap: it is the benchmark. That is why ThinkCAT builds its mocks from the papers themselves, and puts its volume into sectional sprints and topic practice instead.

How to choose for the last six weeks

  • If you haven't taken the recent real papers: take them on ThinkCAT. The 2024 and 2025 papers are the closest to CAT 2026's format.
  • If a section keeps dragging your score: use ThinkCAT's 40-minute sectional sprints and topic practice on that section between mocks.
  • If you also want a coaching series for extra volume: keep ThinkCAT's real papers as your benchmark and read every series score against them. Our realism check shows how.

Whatever you add, analyse each mock before the next. The AIMCAT vs SimCAT vs DashCAT comparison explains why one benchmark beats many series.
